GreenChoby: Listen/Lyrics

Hope

(written by Mike Choby)

The lyrics:

Oh, now plastic carriage man, I still don’t know your name, but I see you every day; they decorate your life with pieces of this modern ruin. Oh, now tell me if you can, Mr. Simple, how you managed to climb down so low; did you once see friendly faces or was it always gloom?

Well I used to think when I was a child, mother father always grown, they was always so mild, and it seems we think the same way of you too.  Like the poor don’t like fresh air, or garbage livin’ people they don’t really care, that their coats are as rusty as the soles of their shoes.

Well there will come a day, when this old life is gonna pass away, and I hope too see you standin’ there. Well if they give you dirt man, can you find gold, train is a comin’ won’t you grab a hold, and I hope to see you standin’ there.

People of the world, we sit down at our daily meals, givin’ thanks for the bread we’re partakin’ of. Yeah, but some folks they don’t seem so hot, never seem like they’re gonna get a lot, and I’m not just talkin’ bout bread made by this old world’s hands.
