Church at the Ocean
There's a nun walking out on the beach now, I think she's here every day. I saw her here yesterday morning, same time and place. She must not mind the sand in her black shoes, or the sun down upon her black robe. She's having church at the ocean, with the seagulls above. And the sun in the sky's her cathedral. The sun on the water like a stained glass window, and the waves let the liturgy of motion speak.
I was sitting here thinking of nothing. Nothing that's worth to say. When a nun in a black robe came walking, on the beach today. I've got lotion to keep me from burning. Sun glasses to shade my eyes. But nothing can now shade the yearning, for peace in this mind.
An image can speak volumes. Whenever the soul is primed, and all it reflects is the artistry, of Love's mind.
She must not mind the sand in her black shoes. Or the sun down upon her black robe. She's having church at the ocean with the seagulls above. And if you are praying (and I think you are), could you say one for me? 'cause I could stand to partake in a little of that peace.
Maybe the sun and the sky could be my cathedral. And the sun on the water, a stained glass window. And the waves will let the liturgy of motion speak.
