Little mo' Wisdom

(written by Carolyn Green)

Sometimes your road is filled with exit signs, which lead to places you know you've never been.  And you'd kinda like a trip to each one of them, but there's not much time to decide.

Sometimes the good is great all the way around and you just can't find a way to turn it down. 'Till you've got so much you're nowhere to be found, oh, and it all crashes down on you.

Chorus: So hear me ask for wisdom, cause I'm like a beggar beggin' in the deep of the winter. I'm like a pilgrim ponderin' on the road by the river and I need a little more, more. Oh, I need a little more, Lord, I need a little more, more, Oh I need a little more, need a little mo' wisdom.

Sometimes I feel I'm on an ocean liner. Staring in the night for signs of danger, navigatin' icebergs in foggy weather. But there's nothing my eyes can see.

Chorus

I could read all the books and highlighted pages. Talk to the learned scholars and wise sages; end up with a head like a train wreck. Call into talk shows, write into who knows, get the whole thing analyzed at the voting polls, but it's up to me in the end!

Chorus
