Sonnet's is a great venue for singer/songwriters. Here's a short clip of Carolyn's performing "Play Out" there this past winter. We are looking forward to being there again.
Carolyn will be performing a single set of her original acoustic music for the seniors of Holy Family Parish. The afternoon begins with lunch at noon, followed by the concert. If you'd like to come for lunch please RSVP to Joan Skalak.
Carolyn and Mike will be performing a free, outdoor concert of their original acoustic music at the new Gazebo in Silver Lake at "Christmas Tree Park." Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Please park at the Boathouse, 2915 Silver Lake Blvd, and if that fills up, along local streets. All are welcome to attend.
IF IT RAINS! (Which looks like a good possibility) We will move the concert to Mocha Joes Coffeehouse, 3707 Darrow Rd, Stow OH. We will put a large sign at the Gazebo if we have moved the concert due to the rain.
This annual event is a gathering for all friends and neighbors of South Street Ministries. The picnic lasts from 1pm - 6pm with several different musicians performing. Carolyn will be performing a solo set of music from around 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
Join us for the official launch of “Streetwalking with Jesus”. This book by Carolyn's husband John, features a link to a GreenChoby song at the end of each chapter. John will be reading some excerpts and signing books. GreenChoby will be performing some songs from the book and Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago and author of the Foreword, will be opening the celebration in prayer and giving a few remarks. The celebration will be in the Shaunessy Center of St. Eugene’s Church.
John and Carolyn Green will be giving a Lenten Mission entitled “Living Deeply in a Shallow World”. John will preach at all weekend Masses, with Carolyn offering some music for reflection and then he and Carolyn will be doing talks on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights at 7PM. For 40 years, we've featured live folk and acoustic musical entertainment every Friday night between 8:15 and about 10:30. Through Carolyn's music and her husband John's experience with Emmaus Ministries, the Green's will be speaking on "Streetwalking With Jesus" at this coffeehouse. Grounds For Faith is sponsored by Catholic Youth Organization and Community Services and is an opportunity to foster faith and friendships in an informal atmosphere. All single and married young adults are invited to attend. Babysitting is available on-site during the event for children ages 0-12. If you need babysitting you must RSVP to groundsforfaith@yahoo.com by Monday before the event.
GreenChoby will be performing one song at the Friday morning plenary session of the Chicago 2010 National CCDA Conference. We've been involved with CCDA almost from the beginnings of the organization in 1990. The Christian Community Development Association is a community of people looking to make a difference in poor neighborhoods around the world. We encourage you to attend the whole conference. GreenChoby will be performing one 45 minute set of music. This is a great room for hearing acoustic music but it fills up fast. Dinner reservations guarantee seating: (773) 929-3680. The food is fantastic here and mostly locally grown.
Carolyn will be doing one set of her original music at Summer Fest. This is a family-friendly, three day event, which begins on Friday June 25th. Lots of games for the kids and great music for all.
The concert will be held in Roberts Hall on the first floor of the school building. For those interested, there is an Extrodinary (Tridentine) Rite Mass at 5PM at St. Lambert's Church next to where the concert will be held.
The Endurance Ride is an annual fundraiser for Emmaus Ministries. Riders raise money for this important work and by bicycling as far as they can over 12 hours. It's a great event. GreenChoby will be performing for the riders and volunteers during the day.
Concert will be in the Church sanctuary. GreenChoby will be playing music at all the weekend Masses prior to the concert as well. A free will offering will be taken up to help cover expenses.
This showcase is sponsored by the Summit County Songwriter's Circle, of which, Carolyn Green is a member. Several songwriters, including Carolyn, will be showcasing their music at this event.
